My day started at around half past ten, when I arrived at the Centre. Usually I get there a little earlier, but unfortunately I had jumped into the wrong bus in the morning, which caused me to have a little delay. But nevertheless I was in time for the first event... Tatiana Stepanova’s “master class” in Monotype. This is a technique for painting which always results in very interesting outcomes.

31.03.2010 Monotype master classes
In frames of the project "Open space for artists” with the support of anti-crisis humanitarian program of the Open Society Institute (New York-Budapest) and the International Renaissance Foundation will be organized master classes in Donetsk, Mariupol and Gorlovka. The aim is to develop creativity and artistic talents in people with disabilities, as well as train volunteers and social workers how to conduct master classes on art for the disabled.

22.03.2010 Open Space for Artists
In March 2010, with the support of anticrisis humanitarian program the Open Society Institute (New York-Budapest) and the International Renaissance Foundation in Donetsk, has launched a new social project aimed at supporting and cooperation of NGOs working with disabled people in Donetsk region for promotion and involvement of local citizens into charitable activities and support to amateur artists, who belong to the category of persons with disabilities by creating and maintaining online galleries of their works.

On the 8th of December in Donetsk there will be organized a training for the interested citizens and youth devoted to the theme “Perspectives of volunteering through the Internet”.

01.07.2009 Mid-evaluation training for German volunteers.
On the 28th of June in Donetsk there was conducted the mid-evaluation training for volunteers from Germany. Anna, Debora, Cosima and Hanna came to Ukraine thanks to the volunteer projects initiated by the German-Russian exchange and supported by the German Fund “Memory, Responsibility and Future”. The projects are aimed at promotion of volunteering all over Europe and placement of volunteers in socially-oriented organizations of Ukraine.

17.06.2009 There remain 34 days.
In frames of the cooperation between Donetsk Education and Science Department of regional administration and Volunteer Agency which runs on the basis of the public organization EURC “Social Partnership” there were involved 600 volunteers for the Youth Football Championship Euro 2009. They are mostly young people from various cities of Donetsk region – Donetsk, Makeevka, Gorlovka, Torez.
