United Nations General Assembly proposed to celebrate the International volunteer day every year since the 5th of December 1985. The aim of this affair is the recognition of volunteer’s work and the increase of the information among the wide area of people about the significant contribution which volunteers do to the society.
So on the 5th of December in Donetsk Volunteer’s Agency, which operates on the base of EURC “Social partnership”, in cooperation with the international youth organization AIESEC is preparing a great event devoted to honour volunteers and organizations, which realize volunteer activity in our city.
The meeting programme award the most enthusiastic and active volunteers and includes the presentation of the representatives of non-governmental organization who will tell about good deeds of their assistants; the presentation of the countries from which volunteers came, fair of vacancy done by the disabled people, short concert, merry competitions and a lot of good mood.
Organizations which want to join our initiative, meet many interesting people and greet their volunteers must inform of their intention to take active part in the event until the 25th of November.
We also invite those volunteers who help non-governmental organizations, governmental agencies and other people to take part in this celebration.
