In frames of the project "Open space for artists“ team of EURC „Social Partnership“ conducts interactive lessons among pupils of 4th -8th classes in Donetsk. The purpose of these activities is to educate tolerant attitude to the disabled.
In April volunteers designed lesson plan and conducted 4 classes in school ¹96. Tihovska Alyona, Sherina Valeria, Artem Kireev and other activists talked with children on the theme of equal opportunities for all people, discussed problems of our society.
In our time for many children and youth the normal behavior is when children pass a school-mate who is being offended, laugh at people in a wheelchair.
The main purpose of the lesson was to teach children to live in harmony in this wide world with other people who may be different.
At the lessons children drew, discussed aphorisms of famous people about tolerance; fantasized about the city affordable for everyone - with ramps, sound lights, vehicles adapted for disabled people. Children were introduced to special people from the organization "Rainbow" due their creative works made by the invalids and their photographs, which depict students of NGO "Rainbow" in bright costumes, clothing collections, which they invented and made with their own hands.
Tolerant attitude to all people, sensitivity and willingness to help could not be learned within 45 minutes, this is a life-long lesson.
